5 Solutions To Combat Porn.


In modern society a vast majority of males are heavily addicted to pornography. From onlyfans, twitter and pornhub among many other various free platforms there is porn everywhere on the internet. It is more accessible for free than it has ever been as of this writing. Furthermore, our TV and movie screens now openly feature softcore porn scenes. If you’re someone watching this constantly you will be more drawn to porn.. Especially males. A beautiful young woman on the screen is far more enticing than having to work on yourself for female attention right? Why do the hard work? Instant gratification and attention. Short term thinking. That's the programming in a nutshell. However, as you will read on it is far more deeper than that. Well it was for me. Here's how.


Porn for me was my escape. My escape from reality, the stresses of day to day life and simply to run away and not face the truths and the pain in my life. Quite often people in society have their one weakness, such as alcohol, coffee, smoking/vaping, junk food, gambling etc. Porn was all of that and more for me. I knew that these pornstars are trafficked and treated horribly in the industry. That was great conscious awareness, but it didn’t address my unconscious patterns that kept drawing me back everytime I would stop. I would quit for weeks and months on end, but I would always find myself back there with my hand down my pants scrolling for hours trying to find the right video only to enjoy the video for 30 seconds…. My unconscious draws to porn were seeking safety and comfort in porn and avoiding my pain, my truths and my darkness. This was a very dark place I had found myself in for a very long time. I found that I was was able to easily quit all of my self abusive habits at once, but porn was the one thing that I found hardest to break. I just kept going back.. Moreover, I wasn’t able to trust females for a long time. I viewed them as sexual objects and I never had any female friends due to this. I wasn’t able to open up to them or hold space for them because I wasn’t able to do it with myself. Allowing myself to work on my emotions and understand where all of my trust issues have stemmed from have all played a part in combating porn. I now have female friends and I don't have the intentions I once had. You can quit porn cold turkey but I guarantee that you will end up back there. Why? Because you haven’t dealt with the emotions attached, why you’re running and escaping and more importantly you haven’t mastered the control of your sexual energy. Think of this as an onion. There are so many layers, until all layers are addressed you will keep going back.


I have implemented these five solutions over the course of the last 12 months. These solutions require patience, discipline and resilience. With powerful intentions you will out rep the negative every time. Our subconscious loves repetition. Additionally, if you were heavily exposed to sexual content, remove the sexual content and replace it with something positive to out rep the negative. Trust and believe that and you are well on your way to conquering porn. Don’t beat up on yourself if you’re going back. Ask yourself why? What are running away from? What are you getting from the screen that you can’t get from yourself? Sit with yourself. You’ll do great!


  1. Sit With Yourself & Ask Yourself Why Are You Escaping & What Are You Escaping From?

You’re horny, your sexual energy is heightened. You’re super stressed out, you’re angry or you’re sad. All you want to do is escape and rub one out to some porn. Sit with those feelings and ask yourself why are you running? What are you escaping from? Are you running away from your pain, your fears, your worries or are you running because you’re scared? Are you single and lonely? Allow yourself to process the answer. Boys, stop running. It is okay and safe to sit with yourself and ask these questions.


2. Work On Yourself & Deal With Your Emotions.


Similar to the first solution. Are you relearning your patterns of behaviour? Do you understand why you are doing what you’re doing? Are you lonely? Are you not sexually satisfied? Begin to understand these feelings and emotions. Sit with them all, and quite often you will be taken back to your childhood. The younger version of you was lonely because you didn’t get the love and attention you craved as a child. You still hold fear, worry, guilt and shame over things you have said and done. You haven’t forgiven yourself and others. All of these emotions are why you are drawn to porn. Because porn is safer and more comfortable than dealing with these underlying emotions. Boys, it is safe to work on them and let them go. Have a good cry! Powerful!


3. Channel Your Sexual Energy Towards Something Else. E.g Your Dreams.


It's night time, you’re about to go to sleep and you’re super turned on. Or you’re just waking up and you’re turned on thinking about that pornstar or that woman you saw the previous day… We all fantasise. That energy is potent, and it's powerful. Instead of depleting yourself of your vital life force energy channel that energy into something more meaningful. Such as that business you want to start, that podcast, that blog, that book, go for a run, lift weights. Distract yourself with something better than resorting to porn. You will be more energised and less lethargic. For an added bonus, you’ll feel so much better after you start that business or book etc.


4. Meditation


You’re turned on and you want to bust a nut. Relax, deep breathe and calm your body, nervous system and mind down. Put on some sound healing, rain, ocean waves, sounds of nature or a guided meditation to calm everything down. This will help you deal with your emotions and bring you into a relaxed state. Therefore, you'll be able to gain the conscious awareness of what is going on so you don't rush into busting one out over porn. Meditation is extremely powerful with the correct intention.


5. Reach Out & Ask For Help.


If you’re stuck, addicted, horny all the time and/or depleted of all energy then don’t let this problem become more than it needs to. Porn can control your mind, your body, and your life if you let it. You have the power to change this anytime you wish. Your recovery from porn addiction can be sped up if you ask for help from someone who has been where you have. Learn from their mistakes so you don’t have to suffer. Its beautiful, magical, bold and courageous to ask for help. Remember that.


There you have it, five solutions to combat porn. With the correct intention and patience you will get there. It takes time, it cannot be done overnight. Progression not perfection. With the right help and guidance you will see huge results. Also remember do not beat up on yourself if you end up back to porn. It’s part of the journey to breaking it forever. Just remember there is a version of you in the future who has already addressed their porn addiction, become one with that version and the job is halfway done.
